Converting the former fire station into Hotel. B-line Ltd were commissioned by F.Y.R. Project Management Services Ltd to convert a commercial building from a fire station into a hotel. B-line acted as the principal contractor for the duration of our works.

Project Overview

We began with soft-strip demolition and the removal of the existing structure in the areas scheduled for extension, using our BROKK fleet and demolition excavators. Groundworks followed, including installation of a new gutter and waste pipe system for the building.

A crane was then erected, as shown in the above image, to assist with the installation of new steelwork for the extension and with the construction of the composite metal decks and concrete floors. The installed steels were then intumescent painted to achieve a fire rating of 90 minutes.
